The Eastern Kilimanjaro District is one of the five (5) districts of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania Northern Diocese . The district comprises 46 parishes , and within these parishes there are 109 sub-parishes with small churches that enable our members—especially the elderly and children—to easily access places of worship. These parishes and sub parishes are located in Moshi Rural District and Rombo District.
Members
Current statistics from the parishes show that the district has a total of 56,136 members. Of these, 33,571 (60%) are adults and 22,256 (40%) are children.
